“HOME-GROWN” OIL & GAS INNOVATION DRIVES GROWTH OF THE USA PARTNERSHIP PAVILION & AMERICA’S PRESENCE AT ADIPEC 2019
Building on nation’s commitment to industry partnerships in the region, U.S. accounts for nearly 10% of total exhibitors at ADIPEC 2019
Abu Dhabi, UAE and Waldwick, NJ / November 10, 2019 — If the annual Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) reflects the state of the global oil & gas industry, American exhibitors at this year’s show exemplify the diverse scope and growing scale of the U.S. energy supply chain.
In the process of increasing production of “home-grown” oil & gas to more independently feed its national energy needs — with surplus for exports — U.S. suppliers are developing innovative new production methods, smarter technologies and resource management strategies that are likewise “export ready.” Such capabilities, equipment, products and services will be represented by nearly 200 American exhibitors at ADIPEC— one of the event’s largest national contingents — November 11-14 at the Abu Dhabi National Exposition Center.
ADIPEC is the region’s largest and most diversified oil & gas business gathering. It is expected to draw some 145,000 trade professionals from 135 countries, including 2,200 exhibitors.
A majority of U.S. exhibitors can be found in the USA Partnership Pavilion, organized for the 10th consecutive edition by Kallman Worldwide. The Pavilion is America’s headquarters at ADIPEC: an efficient location for buyers to meet more U.S. suppliers, a professional business center for U.S. exhibitors to maximize their exposure and impact on-site and a forum for all to share ideas and insights.
This year, the USA Partnership Pavilion has expanded its footprint to 2,288 square meters in Halls 7, 8, 13 and 15. The 108 Pavilion exhibitors — 15 of whom are new to the show — represent 23 states, including the stand-alone Louisiana state pavilion within the larger U.S. space.
From publicly traded stalwarts such as CIRCOR [NYSE: CIR], Honeywell [NYSE: HON] and National Oilwell Varco [NYSE: NOV] to small- and medium-sized enterprises with fewer than 500 employees, the USA Partnership Pavilion supports a broad range of field, facility and end-use applications.
For example, Meridian.us, a first-time presenter based in Mobile, AL, is a uniquely positioned safety, security and environmental stewardship business that provides armed security for commercial as well as Military Sealift Command vessels transiting high-risk waters.
“Meridian is exhibiting at this year’s ADIPEC because we are offering additional services trying to regain market share in the maritime security space,” said company President Jonathan McConnel. “While the security threat from Somali piracy has certainly diminished, there is still a clear need for seasoned professionals to be onboard commercial vessels to mitigate threats from Houthi rebels, Sohar Navy and other potential threats,” McConnel said. “We’re glad to be part of the unified U.S. presence at ADIPEC to support the leadership role our country plays in this region of the world all year round.”
CIRCOR’s Achuthan Haridas, a sales and marketing engineer based in Dubai, echoes McConnel’s national pride and purpose. “When we stand united representing all the brands in the USA, it shows that USA by itself can be a one stop shop for all O&G solutions,” he said.
Kallman Worldwide President and CEO Tom Kallman said American participation in the USA Partnership Pavilion at ADIPEC reflects a global trend.
“Now more than ever, success in international trade comes from partnership and teamwork. In the UAE and MENA region, the USA Partnership Pavilion sharpens our focus on advancing bilateral national energy, security and economic interests by building stronger relationships between U.S. companies and our international customers,” he said. “Many of our exhibitors already have significant partnerships and operations here. In the years to come, many more will.
