CORONAVIRUS UPDATE- Confirm what the latest information is and change the date

As trade events are starting up again in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, you should know that some of the most experienced organizations and individuals in our industry have already been working together to provide guidelines and recommend best practices for the safest possible events. Please review both the Kallman and the show organizer guidelines as they are very important to your travels.

We are following the coordinated advice of the WHO, CDC, local Ministries of Health and individual show organizers to implement best practices and precautions at all of our events. Please refer to these international authorities for further guidance:

Travel to Dubai and COVID-19

  • All passengers arriving into Dubai from any point of origin (GCC countries included) must hold a negative COVID19 PCR test certificate for a test taken no more than 72 hours before departure. 
  • ​The certificate must be a PCR test. Other test certificates including antibody tests and home testing kits are not accepted in Dubai. Travellers must bring an official, printed certificate in English or Arabic to check in – SMS and digital certificates are not accepted. PCR certificates in other languages are acceptable if they can be validated at the originating station.
  • ​You may need to take another COVID19 PCR test on arrival. If you take a test at the airport, you must remain in your hotel or residence until you receive the test result. 
  • If the test result is positive, you will be required to undergo isolation and follow the Dubai Health Authority guidelines.

Returning to the USA and COVID-19

  • To reduce introduction and spread of new variants of SARS-CoV-2, CDC issued an Order effective January 26, 2021. It requires all air passengers arriving to the US from a foreign country to get tested for COVID-19 infection no more than 3 days before their flight departs and to provide proof of the negative result or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 to the airline before boarding the flight. 
  • At this time all air passengers traveling to the US, regardless of vaccination or antibody status, are required to provide a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery.

PCR Testing Locations

More information is Coming Soon as further discussions with Informa and the Dubai World Trade Center take place. 

  • Emirates Airlines is providing PCR services for their Passengers: 
              Located at Al Masood building, Airport Road, Port Saeed area, Deira. 
              The test costs on site AED 130 per person. Test results will be available within 24 hours. 
              Home or office testing within Dubai costs AED 240 per person. Test results will be available within 24 hours.

Safety Clothing

High visibility clothing or vest and covered footwear are required at all times during build-up and dismantle. A helmet is only required if your booth is a double decker or you have rigging.

 


Parking Information

For Hall 1 – 12 – The show organizers are instructing all build-up and dismantle traffic to go to Sheikh Zayed Sport City.
Hall 13, 14 & 15 - Marina
– The show organizers are instructing all build-up and dismantle traffic to go the venue holding area near the bridge at ADNEC. The venue traffic marshalls will operate a system of calling and directing traffic to the exhibition centre. Color coded vehicle passes will be issued as per the following:
Hall 1 – 12 - White
Hall 13 – CPI – Yellow
Hall 14 – Grandstand – Blue

Parking Fees during build up and dismantle are as follows:
0 – 30mins - Free
30 mins – 1 hr – AED 20
1 – 12 hrs – AED 40
12 – 24 hrs – AED 80
Lost tickets are AED 150
Payments will be taken at a machine at the elevator of the car parks. 
You may also park at Sheikh Zayed Sports Center and access the Park and Ride to the exhibition centre. This service is free and runs from 9 am every show day between November 12 and 15.



 

Badge Information

Exhibitor badge gives access to the exhibition. Only exhibitors manning the stand require an exhibitor badge. Include your temporary staff/hostess to this list for them to have access to the exhibition hall. Badges should be pre-ordered before the deadline, and can be completed on the Online Exhibitor Manual . 
Please note: There will be a charge of AED 100 per badge for onsite orders, amendments, and/or reprints; applicants must bring original/copy of passport to register onsite and photo will be taken directly at the registration desk.
The exhibitor badge collection and printing station can be found in front of Hall 7 on November 5th at 11:00am.
Additional badges are for sale at the rate of AED 60 per badge.

Exhibitor Packs can be collected from the registration desk, located by the entrance of Hall 7 from November 9, 2021 after 10:00am. Strict security is maintained in the exhibition halls and personnel must be in possession of the necessary identification pass to gain entry.

  • In compliance with the DWTC regulations, the maximum number of people permitted on a stand (including exhibitor staff and exhibitors) should correspond to 1 person per 4sqm at any one point. You must adhere to the local physical distancing requirements.

Below you will find reference documents to assist you in preparing your graphic order. In order to provide you the best possible service, please pay close attention to formats, sizes, file types, and deadlines. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your Kallman Worldwide Operations Specialist. Clearing up any confusion pre-show will avoid costly errors onsite. After the deadline we cannot guarantee that the artwork will be installed for opening day of the show.

  1. Complete the order form on the Smart AV Arab Health USA Partnership Catalogue and submit to Sophie Linnett (SLINNETT@4wall.com) DUE TBD.  Please copy myself (CourtneyS@kallman.com) ) on your order to ensure a smooth installation while onsite.
  2. Purchase a stand for your monitor. Table top and floor stands can be purchased through Smart AV.  A reinforced wall (for wall mounted monitors only) can be purchased on our US3 form. Please also include a layout of where you want the panel and monitor to be installed.
  3. Prepare your content in advance for presentations. Send the files directly to SLINNETT@4wall.com so that they can ensure compatibility and expedite set up onsite.

The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is a free service to allow U.S. citizens and nationals traveling abroad to enroll their trip with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Read More

Visa Requirements

U.S. citizens are subject to all UAE immigration laws. U.S. citizens should familiarize themselves with such laws before traveling to, or residing in, the UAE.

  • Passport Validity: A passport valid for at least six months beyond date of entry is required to enter the UAE.
  • Personal travel of 30 days or less: A U.S. citizen with a regular passport may obtain a no fee visitor visa upon arrival.
  • Stays longer than 30 days: All travelers must obtain a visa before arrival in the UAE. Visitors on a 30 day visa may request a visa extension, which is at the discretion of immigration officials. Anyone planning to work or study in the UAE must obtain the appropriate visa.
