CORONAVIRUS UPDATE- 
April 2021

As trade events are starting up again in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, you should know that some of the most experienced organizations and individuals in our industry have already been working together to provide guidelines and recommend best practices for the safest possible events. Please review both the Kallman and the show organizer guidelines as they are very important to your travels.

We are following the coordinated advice of the WHO, CDC, local Ministries of Health and individual show organizers to implement best practices and precautions at all of our events. Please refer to these international authorities for further guidance:

We will update this advisory regularly as warranted.

Travel to Dubai and COVID-19

  • All passengers arriving into Dubai from any point of origin (GCC countries included) must hold a negative COVID19 PCR test certificate for a test taken no more than 72 hours before departure. 
  • ​The certificate must be a PCR test. Other test certificates including antibody tests and home testing kits are not accepted in Dubai. Travellers must bring an official, printed certificate in English or Arabic to check in – SMS and digital certificates are not accepted. PCR certificates in other languages are acceptable if they can be validated at the originating station.
  • ​You may need to take another COVID19 PCR test on arrival. If you take a test at the airport, you must remain in your hotel or residence until you receive the test result. 
  • If the test result is positive, you will be required to undergo isolation and follow the Dubai Health Authority guidelines.

Accessing Dubai World Trade Centre

  • ​You do NOT need a Vaccine card or negative PCR test to get onsite. 
  • Your temperature will be taken on site, 
  • Masks are required at all times
  • Badges must be printed before arriving on site
  • Social distancing will be enforced

Returning to the USA and COVID-19

  • To reduce introduction and spread of new variants of SARS-CoV-2, CDC issued an Order effective January 26, 2021. It requires all air passengers arriving to the US from a foreign country to get tested for COVID-19 infection no more than 3 days before their flight departs and to provide proof of the negative result or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 to the airline before boarding the flight. 
  • At this time all air passengers traveling to the US, regardless of vaccination or antibody status, are required to provide a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery.

  • Check with your hotel to see what options for testing they are offering.
  • Emirates Airlines is providing PCR services for their Passengers: 
              Located at Al Masood building, Airport Road, Port Saeed area, Deira. 
              The test costs on site AED 130 per person. Test results will be available within 24 hours. 
              Home or office testing within Dubai costs AED 240 per person. Test results will be available within 24 hours.

Parking Information
If you plan on driving to the DWC Airshow Site, please note there are parking facilities dedicated to exhibitors & priority passes during the exhibition, please use the appropriate parking facilities.


Badge Information

 

 

  • In compliance with the DWTC regulations, the maximum number of people permitted on a stand (including exhibitor staff and exhibitors) should correspond to 1 person per 4sqm at any one point. You must adhere to the local physical distancing requirements. 
  • ​On-stand physical distancing must not supersede guidance set out below. 
  • The stand capacity depends on the elements (e.g. structure, furniture and products) of the stand.

  2. Purchase a stand for your monitor. Table top and floor stands can be purchased through Smart AV.  A reinforced wall (for wall mounted monitors only) can be purchased on our US3 form. Please also include a layout of where you want the panel and monitor to be installed.

Where Can I Access Taxis?

Taxis are very affordable in Dubai and are available from your hotel or can be hailed on the road. Please note that demand for taxis in Dubai can be high and at peak times such as the end of the show there can be a long wait for taxis. Also keep in mind that the World’s fair is going on as well, which could also cause a delay.  Dubai Airshow does its best to get as many taxis on site as possible, but taxi supply is unfortunately beyond their control.

Where Can I Get a Bus?

Frequent Shuttle Buses will run every day of the show to and from key locations and selected hotels in Dubai. We strongly recommend shuttle buses as the most efficient way to get to and from the show.

  • The Public Transport busses will run on show days only from 14th - 18th Nov  from 7am - 7pm

Where Can I Get the METRO?

Dubai's Metro system covers many key locations - the nearest stop to the show site is Ibn Battuta Metro Station and will be connected to the show by regular shuttle buses throughout every day of the show.

Exhibitor Badges will provide access to the venue during Build-Up and Dismantle. Please note if you have a Visitor badge you will not be permitted into the show area.

 

Can we park at the site during build-up?

Yes, the parking during build up and breakdown is free

 

Is there a safety dress code during build-up?

High visibility clothing or vest, hard hats, and steel toe footwear are required at all times during Build-Up & Dismantle. According to the “Safe Working Practices,” contractors are required to wear suitable protective clothing relevant to their job which includes eye, hearing, foot, hand protection, etc.

 

Will there be food available onsite during Build-Up and Dismantle?

The reception and ceremony will begin with refreshments and networking followed by the playing of the U.S. and UAE national anthems to begin the ceremony and brief remarks by Kallman Worldwide and U.S. Government Representatives. The event will culminate with the ceremonial ribbon cutting to officially “open” the USA Partnership Pavilion for business at Dubai Airshow.

 

Is it free for exhibitors to attend the onsite conferences?

The official catalogue will be digital this year. There will be QR codes located around the facility.

The organizer’s office can be found on the second floor.

 

Where can I find the Exhibitor Services’ Office?

All main contractors will have offices onsite, accessible from the hall, but during build up there will be an exhibitor service desk with all suppliers represented. The Exhibitor Service Office is located right through the main entrance. Click here to see the floor plan.

 

How can I book a conference room with the USA Partnership Pavilion?

Please go to the USA Pavilion Meeting Point located in Booth 1385 once you arrive onsite. Reservations are on a first come-first served basis and are limited to 1 hour per exhibiting company per day.  When booking conference rooms, exhibitors should provide:

  • Date (Day) and Time of Meeting
  • Length of Meeting (Note:  Times are limited to 1 hour per day per exhibiting company)
  • Number of attendees
  • On-site contact name and number

 

Where can I get Covid 19 Tested?

At this time it has not been confirmed if Covid 19 testing facilities will be at the DWC Airshow site, however, if you ask your hotel concierge they will assist with either testing at the hotel, directing you where to go, or having someone brought to the hotel for a fee. Covid test is readily available in Dubai.

The business centre will be available during show hours and provide the following range of services:

Is WiFi available?

Kallman Worldwide will be providing basic internet for our exhibitors within our USA Meeting Point, Stand 1385.  This internet will support minimal activity such as checking emails and sending messages and will be shared with all USA Pavilion Exhibitors, which can sometimes slow down its capabilities. Exhibitors may purchase Wi-Fi and wired internet services by completing the Data and Telecom Services Order Form click here.

 

Which security measures are in place?

All personnel entering the exhibition grounds must hold a Dubai Airshow 2021 badge. Badges and Passes must be ordered using the appropriate forms available via EOS (EXHIBITOR ORDERING SYSTEM). Failure to order badges online prior to arrival may result in delays on entering the site.

Passes can be collected upon arrival at the Airshow site, they MUST be worn at all times when in the exhibition grounds. In addition, Photographic I.D. must be carried at all times. Please note badges are not transferable.

 

The Organizers have arranged for 24 hour security guards to patrol the exhibition. However, exhibitors should remember that exhibition halls are vulnerable places and should take appropriate precautions against theft.

 

All stand, chalet & pavilion construction must be completed by 18:00 on Friday November 15th. Exhibition product set up should also be completed by 18:00 on Saturday November 16th. At this time, all personnel must vacate the Dubai Airshow venue under instruction from Dubai Police. Please note after this time no re-admittance to the venue will be allowed until 08:00am on Sunday November 17th (opening show day).

 

What do I do in an emergency?

Emergency medical assistance for exhibitors and contractors can be obtained from the Medical Centre located in the walkway leading from central rear exit of the Exhibition Hall to the Static Park. Medical assis­tance will also be available from mobile practitioners around the site.
