CORONAVIRUS UPDATE-

As trade events are starting up again in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, you should know that some of the most experienced organizations and individuals in our industry have already been working together to provide guidelines and recommend best practices for the safest possible events. Please review both the Kallman and the show organizer guidelines as they are very important to your travels.

We are following the coordinated advice of the WHO, CDC, local Ministries of Health and individual show organizers to implement best practices and precautions at all of our events. Please refer to these international authorities for further guidance:

Travel to Korea, Visa & Quarantine Exemption Requirements and COVID-19

We have been informed that there are Visa and Quarantine requirements to visit South Korea for the Seoul ADEX 2021 event that require your immediate attention. Please read the below information which includes mandatory actionable items in order to enter South Korea and receive an exemption from mandatory quarantine regulations.   It is recommended that all of the below is completed by September 10, 2021.

VISA REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER KOREA

As of May 3, 2021, all U.S. Citizens must have a valid U.S. passport and a visa or an approved Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) to enter Korea. Most U.S. passport holders traveling to Korea for tourism or business purposes for less than 90 days can obtain a K-ETA. 

The Government of the Republic of Korea has implemented the Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA).  To review the instructions, click here

Click here to apply for your visa through the K-ETA portal and follow the seven (7) steps to complete the visa application.

Before you start this process, you will be required to have the following information.

•    Passport number
•    ID photo
•    E-mail address
•    Nationality
•    Sex 
•    Full name
•    Date of birth
•    Passport expiration date
•    Dual nationality information (if applicable)
•    Mobile phone number
•    List of previous visits to Korea
•    Purpose of entry
•    Travel agency information
•    Address of Korea (during your visit)

Optional request.
•    Passport bio page
•    Period of stay

If you hold a passport from one of the 21 countries listed below, you are eligible to apply for the K-ETA application.

21 Countries:
Albania, Andorra, Barbados, Dominica, Guam, Guyana, Holy See, Ireland, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, New Caledonia, Nicaragua, Palau, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, San Marino, Slovenia, United Kingdom, United States of America, Venezuela. 

If your nationality is not one of the 21 counties, the K-ETA_91_form excel spreadsheet is required to be sent to contact@seouladex.com by September 10, 2021

QUARANTINE EXEMPTION APPROVAL

Click here to review the Quarantine Exemption Guide that has been prepared by the Seoul ADEX Office in conjunction with South Korean government’s approving ministry, DAPA.

The purpose of the guide is to give you advice for successful quarantine exemption approval.  Please note that prior to submitting the required Quarantine Exemption Application form, each attending staff member must register for their Seoul ADEX exhibitor’s badge.   You may register for exhibitor badges by clicking on the Seoul ADEX Organizer’s EOSS. To access the information and forms in the EOSS system, you are required to input your username and password. If you do not know your username/password, please reach out to SharonS@Kallman.com.  

Please note some other important requirements for applying for quarantine exemption:
•    Quarantine Exemption is only possible for “fully-vaccinated” persons. Approved vaccines by WHO: AstraZeneca, Covishield, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), Moderna, Pfizer, Sinoform, Sinovac.
•    Flight, hotel, and K-ETA confirmations are required to complete the Quarantine Exemption application.
•    The “guide” recommends that for best chance of having exemption granted, your length of stay should not exceed 7 days.
•    All travelers to South Korea must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. Additionally, all persons must take a PCR test upon arrival.
•    Read the Quarantine Exemption Guide for complete information.

Once you thoroughly read through the instructions in the Quarantine Exemption Guide, download both of the following documents:
•    Quarantine Exemption Application
•    Quarantine Exemption Application excel spreadsheet

Upon completion of these two forms, save each document with your name included in the title of the document, then submit these documents to intlexhibitor@seouladex.com by September 10, 2021.   As shared in the last page of the Quarantine Exemption Guide, due to the unpredictability of ever-changing circumstances, any and all guidelines, requirements and approval process are subject to change.

Returning to the USA and COVID-19

To reduce introduction and spread of new variants of SARS-CoV-2, CDC issued an Order effective January 26, 2021. It requires all air passengers arriving to the US from a foreign country to get tested for COVID-19 infection no more than 3 days before their flight departs and to provide proof of the negative result or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 to the airline before boarding the flight. Safety Clothing
High visibility clothing or vest, helmet and covered footwear are not required for the build up and dismantle period. However, we do recommend taking precaution while onsite during build-up and dismantle with proper attire.

 


Parking Information

Registered exhibitors of Seoul ADEX 2021 will receive a free allotment of parking passes.

  • To request your complimentary parking pass, you will need to complete Order Form #10 through the Exhibitor Online Service System by Friday, August 20, 2021. 
  • The cost for additional parking passes is US$125.00 per parking pass.

 


Badge Information

Registered exhibitors of Seoul ADEX 2021 will receive a free allotment of exhibitor badges.

  • Note: The Badge Service Center is located at the main entrance of the exhibition site.
  • To request your exhibitor badges, you will need to complete Order Form #8 through the Exhibitor Online Service System (EOSS) by Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
  • The cost for additional exhibitor badges is: US$75.00 per badge, after Tuesday, September 14, the cost is US$85.00 per badge.
  • Contractor badges should be collected by exhibitors.  Contractor badges are available starting Monday, October 11, at the Badge Service Center, located at the main entrance of the exhibition site.  In order to have a designated person collecting all the badges, a written document giving permission is required.

The USA Aerospace & Defense SHOWCASE is an online platform designed to keep the Aerospace & Defense community connected and engaged before, during, after and in between in-person trade events.  The platform and your online Exhibit Booth on it are designed to introduce your company, products and your unique selling points to buyers and stakeholders.  Your booth will go live on Showcase as soon as we receive your completed Showcase Exhibit Form and will stay active until 4 weeks after the show.  We encourage you to complete the form as soon as possible to maximize your exposure!  The Seoul ADEX USA Pavilion and Exhibitors will be promoted via this platform to the Seoul ADEX registered visitor list, the Korean defense market at large and U.S. government dignitaries, giving you prime matchmaking and networking opportunities.

Visa Requirements

A visa is not required for a stay of up to 90 days in South Korea. The traveler must be in possession of a passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, a round-trip or onward ticket and sufficient funds for length of stay. A visa may be required if the purpose of travel to South Korea is other than basic business meetings.
