MENA countries looking to strengthen border and homeland security will find U.S. and Canadian suppliers offering a wide range of innovative solutions at Milipol Qatar 2018 this week. The biennial business event is expected to host hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of trade visitors from more than 100 countries October 29-31 in Doha.
Doha, Qatar and Waldwick, NJ / October 28, 2018 — Middle East and North African (MENA) countries looking to strengthen border and homeland security will find U.S. and Canadian suppliers offering a wide range of innovative solutions at Milipol Qatar 2018 this week. The biennial business event, the most comprehensive of its type in the region, is expected to host hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of trade visitors from more than 100 countries October 29-31 in Doha.
The combined U.S. and Canadian presence of nearly 30 companies — among the largest international contingents at the show — will feature technologies, equipment and services for field operations. Most can be found in the USA and Canadian Partnership Pavilions organized by Kallman Worldwide, Inc., the show’s official North American representative, in coordination with government agencies including the U.S. departments of Commerce, Defense and State. Kallman has organized U.S. companies at Milipol shows (Asia, Paris and Qatar) since the 1990s, and Canadian partners since 2016, reflecting a global trade trend, according to company President and CEO Tom Kallman.
“Now more than ever, success in international trade depends on partnership and teamwork,” said Kallman. “Well into our third decade of organizing exhibitors at trade events in the MENA region, the USA and Canada Partnership Pavilions sharpen our focus on helping advance homeland and economic security by strengthening relationships between our two countries and international customers. Many of our exhibitors — from publicly traded original equipment manufacturers [OEMs] to small- and medium-sized enterprises [SMEs] with fewer than 500 employees — already have significant business partnerships and operations in the region. In the years to come, many more will.”
Located prominently in the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, the Pavilions comprise North America’s headquarters on-site: an efficient location for buyers to meet more leading suppliers, a professional business center for U.S. and Canadian exhibitors looking to maximize their exposure and time at the event, and a forum for all to share ideas and insights.
Pavilion exhibitors come from nine states and the province of Ontario. Eight are new to the show, and all are looking to generate new business and create jobs by growing exports, expanding in-region and/or recruiting overseas partners to establish or participate in home-based operations. Notably, the states of North Carolina and Missouri, through their economic development offices, have organized their own state-branded pavilions to represent state-based co-exhibitors and interests within the larger U.S. space.
In addition to space on site, Partnership Pavilion exhibitors are featured in Kallman’s online Milipol Qatar 2018 Visitor Zone at kallman.com/milipol-qatar-2018. The Visitor Zone features interactive “Exhibitor Spotlights,” show news headlines and social media streams to connect interested industry professionals and media around the world to the show, even if they can’t go.
