Kallman Worldwide Appointed to Deliver USA Partnership Pavilion at DSEI Japan 2025
DSEI Japan 2025 will include new USA and Canada Country Pavilions, delivered in partnership with Kallman Worldwide Inc., organizer of the globally recognized ‘Partnership Pavilion’ brand
WALDWICK, NJ, March 10, 2023 - Clarion Defense, show organizer of DSEI in London and Japan, joined forces with New Jersey USA-based Kallman Worldwide Inc. in 2021 to represent the Clarion Defence portfolio in North America. Kallman had been appointed to act as the local U.S. and Canadian agent for Clarion and to coordinate the USA and Canada Pavilions at upcoming DSEI events. Later that same year, with the active support and engagement of the U.S. Departments of Defense, State, and Commerce; the U.S. Embassy in London; and the Aerospace Industry Association (AIA); Kallman successful delivered their first country pavilion at DSEI London and are now looking forward to expanding the delivery of their flagship product at DSEI Japan in 2025.
DSEI Japan is the only large-scale, fully integrated, defense-focused event in Japan, providing unprecedented levels of access into the Japanese and wider Asia-Pacific market. It attracts high level international delegations along with international defense ministers, and distinguished visitors. The last edition the show hosted more than 10,000 trade visitors and 597 VIPs, drawn from 66 countries.
Kallman Worldwide is an official strategic partner of the U.S. Department of Commerce and a recipient of their Presidential “E-Star Award” for excellence in service to U.S. exports. It is the largest organizer of trade show pavilions in its home country. “We’re thrilled to be working together on this new project,” says Tom Kallman, President and CEO. “DSEI Japan is a key event for the defense industry and a global leader in terms of innovation, networking, and knowledge sharing. U.S. exhibitors have an excellent chance to take their seat at the top table here, showcasing first-class people, products, and services. The USA Partnership Pavilion lets U.S. exhibitors maximize their exposure and impact on-site.”
Members of the Kallman team will be present at DSEI Japan 2023 to host a Welcome Ceremony and Reception for the 42 U.S. companies exhibiting at the show this year, and to discuss the upcoming opportunities now afforded to them. Kallman anticipates significantly expanding the U.S. presence at DSEI Japan through the introduction of their flagship “Partnership Pavilion” in 2025, to which they will welcome a number of existing and new exhibiting companies and U.S. state agencies.
“As advocates for global trade with six decades of international trade fair experience, we’re very pleased to add DSEI Japan to our portfolio of world-class events. With Japan doubling defense expenditure over the next 5 years to 2% of GDP, and the National Security Strategy announcement in December 2022, which greatly increased spending in 2023 by 26% - equivalent to $52 billion - the export opportunities for U.S. companies are greater than ever.”
Currently, Japan relies on U.S. imports for many aircraft and missiles. This is unlikely to change in the next five years with over 80% of the planned aircraft and most of the planned long-range missiles being procured from U.S. producers. Already in 2023, Japan plans to purchase 16 F-35 combat aircraft, part of a much larger package of 65 F-35s planned for acquisition from the USA before 2027.
