About the Show
EXPONAVAL is organized by FISA, of the GL events Group. This international exhibition is held every two years since 1998, and then it has become the most important event of its kind in the region, serving as a meeting point between the Latin American Navies and exhibitors of the global defense industry, shipyards, maritime technology, security, telecommunications industries, among others.
SHOW FOCUS: Technologies for the naval industry, Machinery & Equipment, Defense Systems, Military Maritime Services, and Military products.

Presentation of the Chilean Navy's Procurement Plan for the Period 2025-2026
Chile's continuous National Shipbuilding Plan is an ambitious initiative aimed at maintaining a steady production of ships within the country. The plan includes:
Multipurpose Ships: Two multipurpose ships are already financed, with the first set to be launched in 2027.
Frigates: After completing the two multipurpose ships and delivering the icebreaker Viel 2, Chile plans to build at least eight more frigates to replace the current squadron.
Icebreaker Viel 2: The delivery of this icebreaker in June this year marks the first unit associated with the continuous shipbuilding plan.
Furthermore, each branch of the Defense Force has a dedicated budget for maintaining their war potential and modernization efforts, ensuring the sustainability and advancement of their capabilities.
