New: Strategic Defense Review 2023
On April 24,2023, the Australian government released the Strategic Defence Review (SDR), an update to the 2016 Defence White paper charting the course of the Australian Defence Force as they upgrade, expand and shape their defense for the next several decades. Australia must enhance their Navy's lethality - including through its surface fleet and conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarines - underpinned by a continuous naval shipbuilding program.
With this directive, Australia will continue to be in the Maritime/Defense spotlight for the foreseeable future as AUKUS continues to play a major role as explained in the SDR including the expansion of maritime and defense opportunities for US companies seeking sales and partnerships in Australia.
