Sustainable Builds Highlighted At Best-in-show Awards In USA Partnership Pavilion At The Paris Air Show 2023
Washington State Department of Commerce, Gulfstream, and ES3 recognized for excellence in design and craftmanship
PARIS, FRANCE / WEDNESDAY 21, 2023 – The best custom-built stands amongst over 300 exhibitors in the USA Partnership Pavilion at the Paris Air Show were revealed by Tom Kallman, CEO & President of Kallman Worldwide alongside Christina Jennings, Manager of Kallman Creative Services - a division of Kallman Worldwide Inc. - organizer of the USA Partnership Pavilion at the trade show.
The independent judging panel comprised tradeshow-industry-professional judges with more than 60 years’ combined global event experience. Three booths were selected: best stand build over 50 sqm, best stand build under 50 sqm, and best turnkey display.
Washington State Department of Commerce was awarded the top honor for best stand build over 50 sqm. The judges enjoyed the creative stand aesthetic; its fresh look was eye catching and draws the visitor in. They also noted that everyone on the stand was extremely friendly. Washington State’s booth also stands out for being made of completely sustainable materials, a statewide initiative to increase sustainability in the aerospace industry to combat climate change.
"Thank you Kallman Worldwide for this recognition – we’re very proud of Washington State’s commitment to sustainability and climate action. Like our state as a whole, Seattle and the Puget Sound region have been at the forefront of policies and action aimed at decarbonizing the economy. We know that it’s not only the right thing for the environment, but it’s good for business and communities," stated Washington State Department of Commerce Director Mike Fong.
Fong continued, "this pavilion grew from an inspiration by Greater Seattle Partners’ Robert Payne. Robert envisioned a green Choose Washington exhibit modeled after the Alaska Airlines’ holistic approach to sustainability, which includes not only ongoing advances in sustainable aviation such as those we were pleased to announce this week with ZeroAvia and Twelve, but also their gorgeous green headquarters building near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport."
"From the sustainable building products and LED lighting to the live plants and other materials that will be recycled for new uses, it makes us proud to bring people into an environment that showcases the very best of Washington’s aerospace sector and our Pacific Northwest region," Fong went on to say. "I’d like to recognize Amandine Crabtree and Robert Payne from Greater Seattle Partners, along with our marketing team back in Seattle for efforts that led to this outstanding Choose Washington pavilion and Best in Show Award. Thank you very much. We look forward to topping it in 2025!"
“It’s so unique to us and the pacific northwest – the leader in sustainable aviation – our booth has almost 100% renewable energy, we have beautiful tall evergreen trees, and then we capped it off with a beautiful piece of indigenous art inside the booth," said Robert Payne, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Greater Seattle Partners. "Looking back at that initial meeting with Tom Kallman, he immediately saw the vision and he said, ‘We can do that.’ Kallman [Creative Services] really just made our dream a reality.”
Gulfstream, from Savannah, Georgia (GA), stood out to the judges with their clean and modern overall design, awarding them the best stand build under 50 sqm. The furniture and fixings on the booth makes it inviting to visitors.
ES3 of Clearfield, Utah (UT) was recognized as the best turnkey of the USA Partnership Pavilion. Not only did their booth catch the judges’ eye, also did their product. Similar to the Washington State sustainability initiative, ES3 has a purposeful business mission–to improve the performance, maintenance, and supply of mission-critical and safety-of-flight components while reducing the environmental impact of aerospace production processes and the hazardous exposures of aviation maintenance crews.
