U.S. Demonstrates Commitment to Maritime, Defense and Security Partnerships, Investment in Middle East/North Africa at DIMDEX 2022

DOHA, Qatar and WALDWICK, N.J., March 19, 2022 -- When the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX) opens on 21 March 2022 for the 7th edition, the United States will be one of the event's largest international exhibiting groups with 15 participating companies. The size of the American contingent is a strong indicator of how important the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) region is to the U.S. maritime defense and security business. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, and proudly hosted and organized by the Qatar Armed Forces, DIMDEX reinforces the regional interest and collaborative opportunities available to U.S. companies and commitment to Qatar’s maritime defense, security, and economic goals.

DIMDEX is Qatar's most prominent defense and security trade event. The American presence, featuring industry leading companies such as Boeing (Booth #H6-119), L3Harris Technologies (Booth #H6-224), Lockheed Martin (Booth #H6-120), Northrop Grumman (Booth #H6-223C), and Raytheon (Booth #H6-222) is organized by Kallman Worldwide, Inc. - the designated U.S. Representative of the show, in coordination with numerous U.S. government agencies. The aim of the 637 sqm USA Partnership Pavilion is to offer VIP’s, distinguished guests and trade visitors a one-stop-shop showcasing the best U.S. products, services and hardware. Buyers looking for an efficient way to meet with U.S. suppliers will find the Pavilion offers an on-site business hub which connects them with U.S. exhibitors keen to maximize their business opportunities and presence at the Show.

"When U.S. companies commit to exhibit at DIMDEX, they're saying they believe in the power of this event to attract real business prospects and customers. The growth and diversification of this show speaks for itself," said Kallman Worldwide President and CEO, Tom Kallman. "Our team is proud to help our exhibitors capitalize on this influential international business opportunity to grow their share of the marketplace and our nation's trade and investment partnerships in the region." An activity that was marked again in 2021 when Kallman Worldwide, a strategic partner of the U.S. Department of Commerce, was awarded the President’s “E*” Award for the company’s active role in aiding U.S. exports and the continuing recognition of noteworthy export promotion efforts.

USA Partnership Pavilion exhibitors range from publicly traded stalwarts to privately held small-and-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Pavilion exhibitors represent a cross-section of leading American suppliers working to strengthen or initiate international partnerships.

"The United States is one of the world's biggest maritime defense and security suppliers, but that's no guarantee that buyers will look to work with U.S. companies over others," continued Kallman. "As the organizer of the U.S. presence at DIMDEX 2022, we have a responsibility to advocate not only for our exhibitors, but for our nation in this highly competitive marketplace."
