U.S. EXHIBITORS AT ARAB HEALTH 2018 TAKE HOME “BEST IN SHOW” BOOTH HONORS

Mayo Clinic and Pevco awarded for custom stand designs in the USA Partnership Pavilion.

Mayo Clinic and Pevco singled out for standout stands in the USA Partnership Pavilion.

Dubai, UAE and Waldwick, NJ / March 15, 2018 — Among the 275-plus exhibitors spread over 4,000 square meters of space in the USA Partnership Pavilion at last month’s Arab Health Exhibition and Congress 2018 in Dubai, two stands were selected “Best in Show” by an independent panel of judges asked by Pavilion organizers Kallman Worldwide to simply “find the best.”

Arab Health is the largest gathering of healthcare and trade professionals in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The 2018 edition of the event welcomed more than 4,200 exhibiting companies and 103,000 attendees from 150-plus countries.

The Best in Show award is an annual honor presented by Kallman at Arab Health to recognize innovation and creativity in trade show exhibit design and presentation. The company presents two awards at the show, one for custom built stands and one for turnkey stands that achieve the most impact with standardized materials and features.

  • This year’s winning custom stand was presented by the Mayo Clinic (Booth H5.A20) which has campuses in Rochester, MN, Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ and Jacksonville, FL. Mayo Clinic is a non-profit organization committed to clinical practice, education and research, providing expert, comprehensive care to everyone who needs healing.
  • The turnkey stand winner was Pevco of Baltimore, MD (Booth #H1.C16). Pevco, the leading pneumatic tube system manufacturer in the U.S. has been providing high quality, reliable pneumatic tube systems to hospitals for over 35 years.

Mayo Clinic won “Best in Show” honors for its exhibition stand design at Arab Health 2018.

Pevco of Baltimore, MD won best in show honors for its turnkey stand design in Dubai last month.

Judges recognized each exhibitor for their respective use of color and texture, technology, space and lighting to attract and engage trade visitors.

Judges found the Mayo Clinic stand distinctive for the interpretation of its unique “shields” logo into booth structural elements that defined distinct functional areas of the stand, such as the reception desk and conference alcove. A contrasting blue-and-white color scheme accented by wood-tone slats and grey carpet invited visitor attention. Lighting was also notable for placement of recessed spotlights and decorative accents that also mimicked Mayo’s logo outline.

Pevco’s stand was selected for “packing a ton of brand power and visual interest” into a nine square meter space, said one of the judges. “Pun intended: the PEVCO presentation of its pneumatic system technology effectively ‘sucked’ you in. If you looked, you couldn’t help but want to know more.”

“This year’s Best in Show winners exemplify how form and function work together to create exciting, successful trade show stands,” said Tom Kallman, President and CEO of Kallman Worldwide, Inc. In addition to organizing the USA Partnership Pavilion, the company’s custom-building arm, Kallman Creative Services, designed the Mayo Clinic booth.

“No matter how busy they are,” said Kallman, “professionals looking for business solutions at a trade show will always stop and take a second look at an attractive, accessible booth.”
