Al Worden: STEM to Space

In the summer of 1971, as Command Module Pilot of Apollo 15, Col. Worden became one of only 24 people to fly to the Moon. His mission capped a distinguished flying career, and set the stage for life back on Earth as an inventor, an entrepreneur, and an industry and civic leader. As an advocate for STEM, he’s exciting us, so we can excite kids to pursue careers as engineers.

“I’m proud to serve American industry as an ambassador for STEM education around the world,” he says. “Its universal language and shared values connect us all, nation-to-nation, generation-to-generation.”
