Dubai, UAE and Waldwick, NJ / January 25, 2018 — American technology and innovation, deeply valued by patients and medical professionals in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for improving health care and quality of life, will be prominently on display during the Arab Health Exhibition and Congress 2018, January 29 through February 1 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

More than 335 U.S. manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, hospitals, clinics and practitioners — nearly 10% of the total 4,000-plus exhibitors expected — are participating in this year’s show. From personal care and safety products to over-the-counter remedies, specialized medical devices, equipment and treatments, U.S. exhibitors in Dubai represent a wide scope of America’s smartest health and medical solutions.

The U.S. showing is a strong indication of how important the MENA region is to the American health and medical industry, and that countries across the region are looking for innovative U.S. partners to further their progress and ambitions, such as the UAE’s Vision 2021 goal “to achieve a world-class healthcare system.”

The centerpiece of America’s effort at Arab Health is the USA Partnership Pavilion, organized by Kallman Worldwide, Inc., the U.S. representative of the show, in coordination with numerous government agencies, including the departments of Commerce and State.

The 2018 show is Kallman’s first under the new “Partnership” banner, which President and CEO Tom Kallman says reflects a global trend and America’s regional success.

“Now more than ever, success in international trade comes from partnership and teamwork. The new USA Partnership Pavilion sharpens our focus on promoting American innovation and enterprise to build stronger relationships in the global community,” said Kallman.

“Many of our exhibitors — from publicly traded stalwarts such as Angiodynamics and Chembio to leading institutions including Rush University Medical Center and Mayo Clinic, and innovative SMEs like Patientory and gSource — already have business partnerships or operations underway in the MENA region,” said Kallman. “After this show, I am confident many more will.”

Comprised of nearly 4,000 sqm (gross) in Halls 1, 2, 5 and Za’abeel 6, the Pavilion is a well-established, full-service business destination: a high-profile location for buyers to meet more U.S. suppliers, an efficient on-site operations center for American exhibitors to maximize their exposure and impact at the show, and an active networking hub for all to share ideas and insights.

The Pavilion features 275 participating companies (including 95 first-time show exhibitors; 81 of which are also new to market), representing 39 states. All are looking to build on America’s prominence throughout the region to generate new business and create jobs by growing exports, expanding in-region services and/or recruiting overseas partners to establish or participate in U.S.-based activities, including patient care.

Notably, 12 state departments of economic development and commerce — Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah and Washington — are hosting their own state-branded pavilions featuring state-based co-exhibitors within the larger USA Partnership Pavilion.
