Largest-Ever U.S. Aerospace and Defense Presence at F-Air 2019 Amplifies Strong and Growing Bi-Lateral Partnership with Columbia

Designation of the United States as the show’s “Guest Country” recognizes wide-ranging role U.S. plays in Colombian border, domestic and economic security

RIONEGRO-ANTIOQUIA, COLOMBIA and WALDWICK, NJ/July 8, 2019 — U.S. aerospace and defense companies looking to initiate or expand trade relationships in Latin American markets are exhibiting in force this week at F-Air Colombia 2019, July 11-14, reflecting strong and growing partnerships with military and commercial buyers and influencers who are shaping the future of this important regional aviation marketplace.

The biennial F-Air expo is Colombia’s largest and most diversified aerospace industry gathering. Now in its 11th edition, this year’s show has designated the United States as its “Guest Nation,” a distinction that in part recognizes the success of joint U.S.-Colombian counterinsurgency and counter-narcotics operations, in tandem with long-term economic development initiatives and humanitarian programs.

“The Government of the United States has a strong and time-tested partnership with the Government of Colombia, and has provided critical support to many initiatives in Colombia’s aviation sector,” said U.S. Ambassador to Colombia, Kevin Whitaker. “Colombia’s improving security environment and strong commercial ties with the United States will only bolster our trade relationship and allow us to continue to bring the most advanced solutions to Colombia’s aviation sector.”

Amplifying that progress, U.S. industry will have its largest F-Air presence ever this week, with more than 20 manufacturers, suppliers, service providers and industry advocates participating — including eight new to the show — and most exhibiting in the USA Partnership Pavilion.

The Pavilion is the United States’ headquarters on-site, an efficient location for buyers to meet more U.S. suppliers, a professional business center for U.S. exhibitors looking to maximize their exposure and time at the event, and a forum for all to share ideas and insights. It is being organized for the fourth consecutive edition by Kallman Worldwide, Inc. of Waldwick, NJ, in coordination with government agencies, including the departments of Commerce, Defense, State and Transportation.

At F-Air, USA Partnership Pavilion exhibitors represent 10 U.S. states. Notably the State of California is hosting its own branded pavilion featuring state-based co-exhibitors. And extending North America’s reach at the show, Canada’s Viking Air Limited is also exhibiting within the Kallman-managed space.

“Now more than ever, success in international trade comes from partnership and teamwork,” said Kallman Worldwide President and CEO Tom Kallman. “The USA Partnership Pavilion sharpens our focus on advancing America’s national security and economic interests by building stronger relationships with our international customers.”

In addition to space on the floor, U.S. industry will be represented by a C-17 and KC-10 aircraft on static display, and in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Colombian Air Force, the United States Air Force Thunderbirds will perform on July 13 and 14.

For those on the go, whether they are attending the show or not, Kallman also presents the online F-Air 2019 Visitor Zone at kallman.com/f-air-colombia-2019. The Visitor Zone features a centerpiece searchable Pavilion directory, plus interactive tools including “Exhibitor Spotlight” news summaries and downloadable images to help trade visitors plan ahead and follow up with exhibitors.
