UNITED LAUNCH ALLIANCE JOINS “APOLLO 50” MISSION TO THE PARIS AIR SHOW 2019

United Launch Alliance (ULA), the nation’s premier launch services provider and U.S.-based thought leader dedicated to “harnessing the potential of space for humanity” joins “Apollo 50: America’s Invitation to Partnership at the Paris Air Show 2019.”

CENTENNIAL, CO and WALDWICK, NJ/March 6, 2019 — In honor of the first manned moon landing in 1969 and the hundreds of thousands of aerospace professionals who made it possible, United Launch Alliance (ULA), the nation’s premier launch services provider and U.S.-based thought leader dedicated to “harnessing the potential of space for humanity” today joined “Apollo 50: America’s Invitation to Partnership at the Paris Air Show 2019.

Since its formation in 2006, ULA launched more than 130 consecutive missions to save lives, explore the universe and connect the world with 100 percent success.

The Apollo 50 Paris program is a week-long series of high-profile activities and events to inspire more investment in innovation and exploration, and help position U.S. industry as every investor’s top-of-mind partner. It is being produced by Kallman Worldwide, the long-standing organizer of the Paris Air Show USA Partnership Pavilion, as part of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) year-long Apollo 50 initiative.

“This golden anniversary year of Apollo 11 magnifies our industry’s ongoing mission to push the boundaries of aviation and aerospace — here on Earth and across the universe,” said Kallman Worldwide President and CEO Tom Kallman. “We welcome United Launch Alliance as an Apollo 50 Paris Partner, and look forward to working with them to elevate the professional conversation and promote maximum visitor participation in the program.

On-site at the Paris Air Show, ULA will be the exclusive “Presenting Partner” of the Apollo 50 “Launch Pad,” a theater-style presentation forum located in the USA Partnership Pavilion in Hall 3. Under the ULA brand, The Launch Pad will feature a daily schedule of briefings and facilitated discussions about industry trade, innovation and future workforce challenges. Sessions will be open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Launch Pad will also be home base for the Apollo 50 Paris “Mission Crew”:  Col. Walt Cunningham, USMC-Ret. (Apollo 7), Col. Al Worden, USAF-Ret. (Apollo 15) and Brig. Gen. Charlie Duke, USAF-Ret. (Apollo 16). In addition to scheduled appearances around the show site at Le Bourget Airport, crew members may also meet and greet Pavilion visitors or participate in select briefing sessions.

“The successes of the Apollo program informed and inspired our vision to break barriers, broaden horizons and realize possibilities not yet imagined by integrating courageous innovation, unparalleled technology and meaningful partnerships,” said ULA President and CEO Tory Bruno. “In this same spirit, we’re proud to join Kallman Worldwide and its Apollo 50 partners to honor the past and inspire the future of aviation and aerospace this summer at the Paris Air Show.”
